Our Mission: Fostering Archery as Sport, Recreation, and Community
At the Laguna Woods Archery Club, we are passionate about bringing the exciting world of archery to all residents of Laguna Woods Village in a relaxing, fun, and safe environment. Our mission is to cultivate both the sport and the spirit of archery, providing a friendly setting where camaraderie flourishes among participants of all skill levels.
Club Membership and Benefits
Annual Membership: The annual club membership fee is essential for covering each member’s insurance as mandated by the City/GRF. Importantly, your fees are directly allocated to the LWAC’s insurance premiums and the operational costs of our range—no part of your membership fee is donated to external institutions. This ensures that all funds are invested back into the club to enhance your archery experience.
Comprehensive Offerings:
- Training and Coaching: We provide expert training and coaching to our members at no additional cost, ensuring that everyone, from beginners to advanced archers, can improve their skills and enjoy the sport.
- Equipment Provided: The club offers all necessary archery equipment to our members, allowing you to participate without needing to invest in your own gear.
- Safety and Insurance: Safety is paramount in all our activities. Our comprehensive insurance policy covers all members during club-sponsored activities at our range.
Exclusive Archery Range
LWAC proudly operates Laguna Woods Village’s original and largest indoor archery range, which received a Conditional Use Permit from the City of Laguna Woods. Located in Village Club House #1, our facilities are designed to offer an excellent archery experience in a controlled environment.
Independent and Regulated: Unlike any other archery club within the Village, LWAC operates independently under a unique set of regulations governing membership, activities, training schedules, and range operations. This independence allows us to tailor our programs and policies specifically to our members’ needs.
Insurance and Activity Restrictions: Please note that participation in LWAC-sponsored activities and range sessions is restricted to members only. Our insurance does not cover participation in activities not sponsored by LWAC.
Joining LWAC
Mandatory New Member Orientation Course: If you are interested in joining, please email us at [email protected] (don’t forget to leave your phone number), and we will guide you through the orientation process.
Range Operating Hours:
- Monday to Friday: 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
- Saturday and Sunday: 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM
- Tuesday and Thursday: 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM (by appointment only)
Closed on holidays.
