GRF Board Meeting & Trail Rides

I wanted to address the concerns some of you have expressed regarding the elimination of trail rides at the Equestrian Center. While they are listed on the website, they ended them 2 years ago. The decision was made due to increased insurance costs, which has been disappointing for some of those of you whom love horses.

There may be potential solutions to bring back the trail rides. One possibility is negotiating with the Golden Rain Foundation (GRF) to cover the additional insurance costs. This could be achieved by members agreeing to pay a slightly higher fee for the trail rides. Alternatively, it could be proposed that riders sign a liability waiver to address the insurance concerns. Or, perhaps you can think of another solution?

If you are passionate about reinstating the trail rides, you may want to attend the upcoming GRF Board meeting to voice your request. The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, August 6, at 9:30 am at the community center board room. You can also send a letter prior to the board meeting to be read aloud during the meeting if you cannot attend in person. The email is: [email protected]. Be sure to include your name, unit number, and the meeting details in the subject field of your email.

If you miss this meeting, future GRF board meetings are held on the first Tuesday of the month at 9:30 am at the Community Center.

It is sad that the trail rides were stopped because of insurance costs. Maybe the GRF can help with funding or riders can sign a waiver. I hope the board discusses this.

I don’t get it. Why did they stop trail rides 2 years ago but still show it on the website? And now you want us to pay more? This is confusing and unfair.
