Swing Into Action with the Laguna Woods Softball Team
“Every Tuesday morning @ 8:30 at Pinewood Park in Aliso Viejo/Laguna Hills on Cedarbrook Road between Glenwood Drive and Aliso Viejo Parkway. Play is for five to seven innings depending upon time– typically 60 to 75 minutes. Pitching is slow and with a high arc. Base running is configured for safety. A batter is considered safe after passing any base by a 2- to 3-foot margin (done to avoid collisions). To keep the game flowing, a maximum of five runs per inning is permitted before the sides retire. Newcomers are welcomed. Often up to 18 people show up for play– men and women– and there is a sufficient number of baseball mitts and bats that everyone is happy to share. For more information email [email protected]
